What is my favorite wine so far?

I got asked this question like, many many times. What is your favorite wine?, Why is that your favorite?, etc.

Long story short, As a kid I was always interested in aromatic stuffs, anything that smells good. You know, like perfume, aromatherapy, scented candles, scented soaps, aromatic food and beverages, etc. Something intangible yet irresistible. Growing up, I am surrounded by aromatic things too, and the funny thing is, I guess the super nose runs in the family as it involves both our business and daily life (perfume, wine, foods, shampoo, tea, honey).

Talking about wine, I always look forward to those with floral notes, berries and stone fruit notes. For me, those scent are just amazing, calming and addictive! Three of my favorite wines are:

Riomistico Viognier 2013 from Vina von Siebenthal that is located at Valle de Aconcagua, Chile. Riomistico Viognier 2013 from Vina von Siebenthal.

On the nose, beautiful, perfumed aroma of floral- acacia flowers, kumquat, lemon, nutmeg. On the palate, a notes of tropical fruits like peaches, pineapple, honey. Lovely!

bng-rose-danjou.jpgRose d’Anjou 2012 from Barton & Guestier.

A blended of 80% Grolleau and 20% Cabernet Franc. Salmon pink in color. Obvious aroma of strawberry, raspberry and hint of black pepper on the nose. Light and easy drinking. Grapefruit, lime and bit of spice on the palate.

albumtemp-28Gewürztraminer 2014 from Cono Sur.

Combination aroma of floral notes like roses, lavender with aroma of fruits like lychee and figs. Love love love the scent and seriously, it makes me keep on wanting to nose the wine haha! Anyway, this wine is so balance in terms of acidity and sweetness, also has quite a long finish.

Thank you for reading this and if you have a similar taste as mine, I would highly recommend you to try them all! For food pairing recommendation, just click on the picture above!
